Welcome Coach Reynoso

Foothill Athletics is proud to announce Mike Reynoso as Head Basketball Coach

Coach Mike Reynoso is a local Bay Area product with 15 years of coaching and player development experience. From professional, college, and high school athletes, Coach Reynoso has shown the ability to develop and guide athletes to the highest level of play.

Throughout his career, Coach Reynoso has been at the helm of 3 programs. At 23, he was named the Woodside High School Varsity Head Coach, where he led the program to 3 playoff berths and was named the Best Upcoming Coach by the San Mateo Daily News. After his tenure at Woodside, Mike made the jump to Cañada College in Redwood City to take over the assistant coach position. After 2 years as an assistant coach, he took over as head coach. In only his second year running the program as head coach, he led his team to the first Final Four Appearance for Cañada in 20 years. Mike was named CCCAA Coach of the Year in 2015, while also proudly seeing two of his developed players become Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year. Coach Reynoso has helped 25 student athletes receive athletic scholarships during his tenure, ranging from every level.

Mike has not only been able to develop high school and junior college athletes, but he has also made the jump to developing NBA and FIBA players. Mike has the established blueprint to develop athletes at any level by drilling the fundamentals while teaching the athletes where and when they can let their creativity flow within the game. Mike played at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, CA, and later went on to play at Foothill junior college in Los Altos, CA. Mike earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from San Diego State, and his Physical Education teaching credential and Masters in Education from Notre Dame de Namur University.

Aside from being a basketball coach, Mike is a proud husband and father to wife Carol, and three children: Vince (5), Maya (3), and Noah (1).
