LOS ALTOS HILLS — The youth-laden Cabrillo College women's soccer team is hoping to continue its success in the Coast Conference North Division this season after winning the South Division crown each of the past two seasons.
Cabrillo picked up its first road win and first conference win with its 1-0 decision over host Foothill in a crossover match on Tuesday.
The score was close, but the Seahawks dominated the run of play and outshot their opponent 22-3.
"We need to do finishes, not just shots," Seahawks coach Gladys Mondragon said.
Forward Luz Ruiz finished off a through pass from freshman forward Marissa Freeman in the fifth minute for the decisive goal.
